Nutritions Your Body Needs Everyday
People get confused by the media about food today. One day something is good for you, the next day it is not. I mean how many times have you heard debates “Is milk good or bad”. So I wanted to take some time and share with you what nutrition should you consume every day if you want to have a healthy body.
Here it is:
- Carbohydrates – You must consume from 225 to 325 grams of carbohydrates. You get them if you eat bread, pasta and rice. These are the obvious ones. Food with low carbohydrates are fruits.
- Protein – Consume at least 70 to 175 grams of protein everyday. You`ll find it in milk, eggs, cheese, yogurt, beans, grains, chicken breasts…
- Healthy fat – Yeah I said healthy fat. You must have that too. This must be limited to 40 to 70 grams a day. You will find healthy fat is olives, olive oil, nuts, soy milk, tofu, pumpkin seeds…
- Saturated fat – You should keep this limited to 15 grams a day. You`ll find it in butter, beef, pork, chicken with skin, ice cream, cheese…
- Trans fat – You should have only 2 grams of trans fat a day. Trans fat is in candy bars, fried foods, baked pastries, packed snack foods like chips, pop corn…
- Cholesterol – 300 grams of cholesterol is maximum a day if you want to have a normal healthy cholesterol level. You can find cholesterol in almost any food except fruits and vegetables.
- Fiber – Have at least 40 grams of fiber daily. If you want a good metabolism, you have to eat fiber. So eat fruits, seeds, grains and vegetables.
- Sodium – If possible, try to consume only 1500 milligrams of sodium a day.
When you are preparing your meals you don`t have to actually calculate the nutrition value. Just use common sense. Try to eat smaller portions and your meals should be very diverse through the day. But if you want to be extra careful you can always seek a professional help. Consult with a professional nutritionist and he or she will tell how and what should you eat through the day.
To your health,
